The 5 Best Things to do In Glenview, IL

This is our first summer at on Glenview and we’re feeling fortunate to be here. The area around the restaurant is now lush green, our patio is coming together, and we recently received our liquor license!

This is a sweet reminder that where we wanted to be 2 years ago, is now our present and we’re here for it. We’re also reflecting on everything that The Village of Glenview has to offer.

Glenview is known for its history, natural beauty, and lots of entertainment.

In fact, there’s always something to do near the restaurant. One of the advantages is that we’re located at The Glen Town Center, a shopping mall with dozens of stores, boutiques, and services. All within walking distance, many of our customers find it convenient to visit us before or after running errands. And yes, plenty of free parking is available!

Can we talk about these 5 trendy places that are popular with locals?

1. Gallery Park

For nature lovers, Gallery Park offers a walking path along Lake Glenview, tennis courts, and fishing. Additionally, the park features a playground with toddler climbing equipment, a splash pad, and sand area. The perfect spot for children under 4 years old.

With plenty of greenery and fresh air, you can also bring your furry friend along. There is a Dog-friendly path where leashed dogs are welcomed. And if you decide to visit our dog-friendly patio, don’t forget to share photos with us on social media. Because who doesn’t want to see an adorable pup living their best life?

2. Kohls Children Museum & FunTopia Glenview

Both places offer family-friendly activities that are perfect for children under the age of 12. The Kohls Children Museum provides hands-on learning experiences with their 17 exhibits which are all designed for children. Children-size grocery store and pet-vet? Yes, please.

And if you are looking for an experience that helps to develop their motor skills and burns energy for the day, Funtopia has 1, 1.5, and 2 hour packages that includes indoor rock climbing, balancing with ropes, and play areas.

3. Tipsy Paint

A BYOB Paint studio located next to Gallery park offers classes for adults and children. With adult classes, participants can bring their beverage of choice: beer, wine or non alcoholic. All supplies are included.

4.  Land Mark Theater Glenview

When was the last time you watched a movie at a theater? Within walking distance, one of the most luxurious theaters around, this might be the best time to head to the newly-opened Landmark theater at The Glen.  Current showings include: Inside Out 2, The Garfield Movie, and Bad Boys Ride or Die.

5. Chicago Botanic Garden

The garden is not located on Glenview but its mention – worthy for being less than 20 minutes away. A nature lover’s paradise that is open year round but reaches its peak during the months of May – August. During this time, the garden is the best place to see hundreds of blooming flowers, Japanese trees, and unique plants.
