Best Vegan-Friendly Events and Festivals in Chicago This Summer

Summer in Chicago is almost here and there’s no better time to explore the city’s growing vegan scene. Whether you’re a local or visiting for a summer festival, here’s your guide to the best vegan Chicago events happening in and around the city.

Vegandale Festival, June 21st & 22nd

Vegandale, a bold and high-energy event, is North America’s largest vegan festival. This year’s event includes a stacked lineup of food vendors from many US states. From California, Lettuce Feast will offer their highly rated Nashville Sandwich and from Tennessee, The Genre Memphis will bring a menu inspired by Memphis’ music culture plus hookahs.

Visitors should expect to see multiple vendors from Chicago, DJs, art, and activism. This is one of the most anticipated vegan events of the year!

Early bird general admission tickets are only $15 until June 12.

Lollapalooza, July 31st – August 3rd

Lollapalooza in Grant Park attracts large crowds every year but it isn’t just a music festival, it’s a major moment for foodies too.

Last year, it was the first time we participated as a vendor in the event. With more plant-based vendors than ever before, visitors rocked out while enjoying vegan Cha Sui Bao or Crab Rangoon from our very own Alice & Friends, Tacos from Penelope’s Vegan Taqueria, and desserts from other vendors.

This year, we also plan to be there but we haven’t finalized our menu. Are there any items you’ll like to see that we didn’t offer last year? Please send us a message on Facebook or Instagram or email us at aliceandfriendsvegankitchen@gmail.com.

To view a complete list of vendors for this year, visit Lollapalooza’s official site.

We’ll likely see more plant based options this year. See you there!

Veggie Fest Chicago, August 9th & 10th

It’s a must-attend for food lovers, families, and plant-based advocates of all stripes. Address: Danada South Park, 2701 Navistar Circle, Lisle, IL 60532
