Alice and Friends at Thursday Night Out in Oak Park, Illinois

Summer evenings in Downtown Oak Park have a special kind of magic, and Thursday Night out is one of our most anticipated seasonal events!

Every Thursday from June 4th through August 27th, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Downtown Oak Park comes alive with incredible food, local music, and friends gathering along Marion Street.

And since our Alice & Friends in Oak Park is located on Marion Street, we love to see guests discover new restaurants and cuisines by participating in the Dine-Around Program. There are 27 restaurants that are currently offering unique food, desserts, and drinks for this event!

How the Dine-Around Program Works

With the Dine-Around program, guests can purchase ticket booklets from the Downtown Oak Park ticket tent. The Ticket tent is located on Westgate Street every Thursday evening between 5:00 PM and 8:45 PM. Each booklet costs $25 and contains four dine-around tickets. As an added bonus, for every two ticket booklets purchased, guests receive a complimentary $5 Downtown Oak Park gift certificate. The certificate can be used at participating shops through August 27th, 2026.

Once you have your tickets, you can browse the Thursday Night Out menu from participating restaurants and select the items you’d like to try. At each location, exchange your tickets for those menu items and grab a seat outside along Marion Street to enjoy live local music.

Vegan and Allergen-Friendly Options Available

As a vegan restaurant, accessibility and inclusivity are at the heart of what we do. We’re happy to share that some participating Thursday Night Out restaurants offer allergen-friendly options, including vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free, and peanut-free selections.

Our restaurant is located at 104 N Marion Street and we’ll be offering the following items in June:

Musubi –  Grilled vegan spam wrapped with roasted seaweed and brown rice. Garnished with house-made mayo and Teriyaki sauce. Nut-free.

The Bao –  Soft fluffy steamed buns filled with braised Non-GMO soy protein. Nut-free and a perfect savory treat for on the go!

Wonton Soup – House-made wonton filled with tofu, vegan ham, shiitake mushroom, onion, cilantro, garlic, leek, carrots, and sesame oil. Served with broccoli, bok choy, and carrots. Nut-free.

DRINKS: Tropical Iced Tea, Thai Iced Tea, and Mango Lemonade with Mint Syrup.

Thursday Night Out Event Tips for a Smoother Experience

Bring your own chairs. While tables and seating are provided along Marion Street, additional seating can help ensure everyone has a comfortable place to relax and enjoy the evening.

Bring your furry family members. We love seeing dogs out enjoying the event alongside their humans. Just remember to keep them leashed for everyone’s safety and monitor if the music is too loud for them.

Support a Zero-Waste Event. Downtown Oak Park has designated the event as Zero-Waste. They encourage participating businesses to use recyclable and compostable containers whenever possible. Additionally, staffed waste stations throughout the event help attendees properly sort materials for composting and recycling. Both of which reduce the amount of waste sent to landfills.

Use digital menus.
Accessed through QR codes, these help reduce paper usage and guests are encouraged to reuse or recycle printed menus whenever possible.

Consider walking, biking, or taking public transportation. These options help reduce congestion, support sustainability efforts, and make for a more enjoyable community experience.

Use alternative parking. Because Lot 10 is under renovation all summer, consider using other options. For example, the Emerson Garage on Westgate Street or the Lake & Forest Garage on Forest Avenue.

Bring your appetite and come celebrate community with us every Thursday night!
